Welcome to DP Traduction's English, French and German distance learning page. You will find all the information you need to book a private lesson or register for a small group course.

            David Poingt is an English-French and German-French translator, specialised in literature, media and tourism and a language tutor in English, French and German. After having passed his scientific baccalauréat in 2002, he completed a training in landscaping (ESA Angers) before starting his linguistic and literary studies. He graduated in English studies (German as second language) in the University of Rennes II in 2011. During the second and the third year of his bachelor degree, he stayed six months in Liverpool and six months in Munich while studying with the department in distance learning. Then, he earned a master I in English studies (major in British literature), receiving Grade B. He spent six months in Haworth (Uk) to carry out research at the Brontë Parsonage Museum (Yorkshire, England) to write his thesis on the Brontë sisters.

            In order to keep improving his English and German, David Poingt decided to study in a foreign university from 2012 to 2017 and earned a MA of arts in Scottish Literature / German at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, with grade B. During his MA, he completed an Erasmus exchange of one year at the interpreting and translation school in Germersheim (FTSK) in Germany in 2014-2015, and wrote a thesis on the austrian authors Elfriede Jelinek and Ingeborg Bachmann during the last year of his MA in Glasgow. 

            In September 2017, he started working as a translator with international translation agencies and translate around 45,000 words each month. In Mai 2018, he joined the Société Française des Traducteurs (French Society of Translators) and has begun a master's degree in Comparative Literature at the University of Innsbruck in Austria in October 2018.

             He offers private online teaching in English, French and German adapted to the student' needs since December 2022.
